When we created Kora Sane, we knew that sustainable, ethical design was the only way forward. Here’s what you can expect when you shop with us:
Our swimwear is made from high-quality, recycled (and recyclable) Italian fabrics. We use REPREVE for our patterned fabric and ECONYL for our plain colours.
All of the dyes used in the production process are eco-certified. Both of these manufacturers produce sustainable fabrics by regenerating waste items such as plastic bottles, industrial fishing nets and second-hand carpet fibres to create high-quality, durable nylon.
Not only does this support our planet, it produces a superior fabric. With increased shape retention and longevity, the quality of our sourced materials ensure total comfort and a second-skin feel.
We are so proud to be affiliated with companies that refuse to create fashion at the expense of ethics. By investing in sustainable fabrics and natural dyes, the production process can be truly ‘closed-loop’. Rather than the endless cycles of human-made consumption, we choose to mimic nature’s ability to continually replenish and regenerate, reusing what has gone before to pave the way for what’s to come.

Our first swim collection was made ethically by a wonderful team based in Bali, Indonesia. When we started exploring manufacturing options, we knew that supply chain transparency was absolutely essential.
Our desire to create pieces that last the distance wasn’t just about sustainable fabrics, it was about supporting people to build sustainable livelihoods.
Since our first collection (in 2018), we have done extensive research into the benefits of local production and we are pleased to share that our 2020 swim range will be made right here in Australia by an extremely talented seamstress based in Marrickville, NSW.
